Times A Lady” & “Still”. Their lead singer Lionel Richie, had an incredible string of 13 straight Top 10 hits from 1981-1986 as a solo artist, including 5 #1 singles. A song that wasn’t #1 for The
Commodores, but was a smash hit in the clubs and party scene was “Brick House”, which peaked at #5 in 1977. Recording for the legendary Motown label, The Commodores charted a very impressive 10 Top 10 hits
from 1976-85. It’s funky sound, feel good beat, and thumping horn section have made “Brick House” one of the most definitive party/wedding songs of all-time.
