Donna Summer – Last Dance

What else can be said about a song that says it all.  It personifies all the emotions that one that one feels in the course of a wonderful night.  Born in Boston, Mass in 1948 , Adrian Donna Gaines, better known as Donna Summer was dubbed, “The Queen of Disco”, and for very good reason.  Between 1978-80, Donna released 8 consecutive Top 10 gold or platinum singles including 4 #1’s.  Although “Last Dance” did not reach #1, peaking at #3, it certainly was her most memorable song.  From the movie “Thank God It’s Friday” starring Jeff Goldblum and Debra Winger, “Last Dance” was released in May 1978.  It has left an indelible mark in the history of Rock music, and is one of the most definitive party /wedding songs of all-time.
